Conference
Hochschild Cohomology, Structure and Applications
June 7 - 11, 2010
CIRM, Luminy, France
Hochschild cohomology provides a natural home for invariants attached to objects appearing in very different settings, such as homological algebra, K-theory, associative rings and algebras, algebraic geometry, differential geometry, representation theory, functional analysis, operator algebras, and algebraic topology. The week-long meeting at Luminy will focus on algebraic aspects of the theory and on its applications to related areas, such as ring theory, algebraic geometry and representation theory. The conference will build on the experience of two successful conferences on Hochschild Cohomology and Applications, held at the University of Leicester, UK, in 2003 and at the Banff International Research Station, Canada, in 2007 ( BIRS conference page).
Organizers: Luchezar L. Avramov (Lincoln), Claude Cibils (Montpellier and Nice), Thorsten Holm (Hannover), Maria Julia Redondo (Bahia Blanca)
